Hamid’s idea of SOHO is the result of his vision combined with over 30 years of restaurant and hospitality experience. Through his involvement with some of the finest restaurants in California, Kentucky and Texas Hamid was able to craft a vision of a dining experience that wasn’t just dining, that vision became SOHO Food and Jazz.

Since it’s opening in 1996 SOHO has become a standard in the entertainment of individuals, friends, family and special dates. The trendy design of the quaint interior continues to evolve with Hamid’s unrelenting and continuous desire to be the best in the market.

SOHO has attracted loyal patrons from all over the United States and even abroad. Dotty Griffith (acclaimed Dallas Morning News restaurant critic) wrote “Since the opening of SOHO, many local and out of town restaurateurs have sought Hamid’s personal advice or tried to duplicate his unique idea, but have fallen short…”.

Hamid, as an Aerospace Engineer with a Masters in Management, is neither a formally trained restaurateur nor chef, he just has a passion for quality food, drink and entertainment which allows him to decipher the shortcomings of the textbook approach to the restaurant business and deliver a superior product and experience.
